HobbyBoss 1/48 British Challenger II MBT Plastic Model Kit

After years of hard work, Vickers Defence Systems developed the Challenger 2 main battle tank based on the Challenger 1. This type of tank began to equip the British Army in 1994, and by 2000, a total of 386 tanks had been delivered. Later, the Omani military also introduced 18 tanks of this type. With the advent of the Challenger 2, the British Army's Chieftain and Challenger 1 main battle tanks were gradually replaced in stages. Although the Challenger 1 and 2 are not much different in appearance, the performance of the Challenger 2 has been greatly improved, including the use of some of the latest technologies, such as the 120mm L30 tank gun, which can fire depleted uranium shells with high penetration. The Challenger 2 is also equipped with a gun computer control system, an electronic stabilization system, an all-weather observation stabilization system, etc. The standard configuration includes a 120mm gun thermal imager, a three-defense system for nuclear, biological and chemical defense, and a reserved auxiliary fuel tank position at the rear, and a bulldozer fixed position at the front.
